JV says -Tropea was amazing! The main gig was sold out, lots of CDs sold (all CDs are available online) and audience reaction was full-on for the whole gig.
I'm going back next year to both Band and Acoustic sets if it fits in with everyone's plans.
We also played impromptu in a couple of Bars / Restaurants and found that suddenly there was no bill to pay :)
On the last night we were asked to guest in the Finale, and both Max and I were able to play a little electric guitar with members of the other bands which was great.
Getting back to the UK has been a bit of a shock, as in Tropea we were swimming in the sea everyday!!

This year is the 30th anniversary of 'Phoenix', the band that Bob Henrit, Jim Rodford and I formed after Argent split. We recorded and released our first Phoenix album in 1976, and I've tried without success to get hold of the master tapes for years now. Anyway, to cut a long story short, I've re-mastered the album from the best sources I could find.
It's exactly the way it was on the original album, nothing 'tweaked' or changed so it sounds just the way it did way back then.
It is available now on the merchandise page, so transport yourself back to the '70's with the original Phoenix album...

On the live front, the band will be doing a series of festival gigs in 2007.
Most will be booked well in advance so we'll keep you updated here.
