New Website!
The old JV Website had filled up with loads of out of date content, so a ‘Refresh’ was in order. Many thanks to my old friend Rob Vernon for creating the new site in short order and giving it a new lease of life!
2027 Dates
Dates for 2027 are coming in – see the giglist for full details, but we’re glad to be making our usual trip north to Backstage at the Green in lovely Kinross, Scotland with stops on the way up, and back at Blues at The Bay and Barnoldswick Music and Arts Centre.
2027 also sees our first visit to Emsworth Music festival, and it’s great to be back once again to Alfold Rock & Blues festival in July.
Bedford Esquires ‘hometown’ Gig news
it has been ages since we last appeared at our local independent music venue (Esquires, Bedford). We’re really pleased to announce that The JV Band will be gracing their stage on Friday, October 30th (Doors: 7:30pm). Tickets are available from Seetickets (£2 Booking fee applies), direct from me – (just hit the button, below!) or behind the bar at Esquires. Looking forward to seeing all our local friends!
JV Band Line-Up
The JV Band lineup moving forward will still see Chris Mansbridge filling the bulk of our dates with Paul Burgess or Kev Hickman standing in occasionally on drums.
Bass playing duties are shared moving forward with Roger Inniss present as ever, and Curvy Kempster or Dan Holyoak covering certain dates…
Live Album!
JV has been collecting live recordings at shows over the last few months, and the plan is to mix and master a number of tracks for a live album scheduled for release in September 2026 – watch this space!
Gear News
On the gear front, JV is now using guitars designed by Trev Wilkinson exclusively for electric dates.
A JV ‘Rig Rundown’ is planned soon and will be available on YouTube for those interested in noisy stuff.
